Three AI jobs for a cafe that take fifteen minutes each

You did not open a cafe to spend Sunday night on a spreadsheet. These three jobs are the ones AI handles well, with your numbers and your call.

1. Roster from last week's sales

Give the model your daily takings and your busy periods, and ask it to suggest a roster. It will not know that Jules cannot work Tuesdays or that the morning rush needs two on the machine — you tell it that, and it does the arithmetic.

It saves the half hour you spend shuffling numbers before you make the calls yourself.

2. Stocktake summary

Paste a messy stocktake into the model and get back what moved, what did not, and what to order. The value is not the ordering — it is the pattern you miss when you are doing it tired at close.

3. Supplier email

The price-increase pushback, the order change, the 'we are short this week' note. AI writes the first draft in the tone you set, and you fix it before it goes.

What to keep off the AI

Rostering around award rates and penalty rates still needs you or your bookkeeper. The model can draft, but it does not know the Fair Work rules for your staff and should not pretend to.

Same with anything customer-facing that goes out under your name. The model drafts; you send.
